What is The Independent Author Network?

The Independent Author Network is a group of like minded authors who are self published or published by a small indie press. The group is open to authors who are active social networkers at sites like Twitter, facebook, and LinkedIn etc. The members share info, ideas, and experiences from self publishing and promotion. The group works together to promote each other online. Each member receives a free IAN Member page with an author BIO and up to three books included with buy links. The same three books can also be added to The Member Books page. The only cost is a few minutes of each author’s time per week.

How does I.A.N. work?

Members are asked to Tweet and facebook link their IAN Member page as much as possible and the pages of other members when time allows. If a member has a new book releasing, a book signing, a blog tour or any event the info will be posted to our blog and the others are asked to Tweet, blog, Facebook etc. This also works when an author has a guest post at a blog--the members tweet the post and comment on the blog. Blog tours can be followed by the group. Members might like to review other member’s books as well. Best of all it is free to join!

It is expected that this network will grow to several dozen active members. A group of authors this large all tweeting and blogging as a group will really boost exposure for everyone involved. The group works on the honor system and we hope that all members will contribute.

IAN author Member pages are showing up on page 1 of Google searches.

IAN authors can now sell their books through their Member pages. (Authors would receive payment through Paypal and ship their own books. IAN wouldn't handle any books, shipping costs, or take any fees.)
